Planning

East Northamptonshire Council is the local Planning Authority and they have full powers when considering planning applications.

Glapthorn Parish Council is consulted on all applications falling within the parish boundary. These are considered at the Full Council Meetings and Planning Meetings, the being usually held during alternate months to the Full Council Meetings.

The Parish Council inspects all sites and scrutinises the plans for every application. Its comments are then passed to ENC for their deliberations. They may take them on board or disregard as they see fit. Members of the public are entitled to attend our Planning Meetings where, just like Full Council meetings, there is usually an item on the agenda for public participation.
